Program dates and application deadlines

Summer 2025 program dates: June 2 – August 1, 2025
Application deadline: March 1, 2025
Decision notification: April 2025 (Notification letters will be sent out to applicants.)

Program eligibility

To be eligible for the NSF-REU program, you must

1. Be enrolled as a full-time student in a STEM program at least for August 2025.
2. Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
3. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in your current institution by January 2025.

Students from underrepresented minority groups, women and first-generation college students are especially encouraged to apply.

Application information

To complete the 2025 REU application, you must fill out the Application Form using NSF-ETAP. The process will include:

• Personal Statement
• CV/Resume
• Transcripts
• One Letter of Reference
• Research topic selection
